Am I being unfair? who is right, help?

I'm 22 and graduated last year, and I have a full time job. However, still live at home. I plan on going back to continue my education (medical field) in a year or so but my father has been throwing angry fits about how other children are independent at the age of 18, and that I am a detriment to my family because I don't contribute to the family. The problem is, school will cost a lot in the future as well. He's angry because he says he was working in trade school at 13 and I am beginning to resent him alot. I think I should be able to further my education but I feel guilty because he wants to retire. However, its not my fault they had me later in life, and now expect me to shoulder everything now. Who is right or wrong in this situation?
