Criticisms of Objectivism?
Truly objectivism isn't much of a philosophy but rather a sort of a cultish doctrine. Basically it's a collection of Ayn Rand's opinions, not a system to interpret some aspect of our existence through (which is what philosophy deals with). There is no inherent consistency to Rand's philosophy. She should support libertarianism for instance but chooses to reject it labeling it as "irrational" because of its association with anarchism. She also includes the tenet that one must be an atheist to be an Objectivist however this really doesn't organically derive from the social ideas in her "philosophy". If I had to come up with a sentence to describe Objectivism it'd be "existentialism with baggage."
