A german cake (maybe cheesecake) that has a cream filling between two very thing layers of cake?

I ate at a german restuarant at epcot in disney world and had a cake that they said was german cheesecake. it was a creamy filling between two very thing layers of cake (not crust) and had powdered sugar on top. everywhere ive looked for recipes for german cheesecake looks nothing like what i ate. just normal cheesecake. help anyone?
