Is there any benefit/detriment to using integral scope mounts?

These kind of rings will definately give you a more stable, rigid, and secure mounting system. Since the rings and bases are one piece, there is no need to worry about loose bolts where the rings contact the base. Also, this will give you exact, perfect aligning with the scope centered on the reciever. Unless you have a 50mm objective on your scope, go with the standard height option.
