Which would you prefer? Peanutbutter cheesecake or Peanutbutter pie? And why?

I'm going to make one for Father's day for my husband and he's a big Peanutbutter fan. I've never had either, but I love cheesecake, but the recipes for PB pie look awesome too. As far as the texture and taste, could you give me your opinions.
